Since being
built the boat ramp has become increasingly congested. This we
are making changes to bring the boat ramp back to what it was
intended to be when it was built in 1991. The size of boats,
trailers and vehicles have become larger making maneuvering room
critical. The original design had 20 parking spaces with two being
reserved for handicap. There are areas for launch preparation and
launch retrieval that are now marked with white lines and no parking
signs. In addition there are three areas marked in yellow. The
intent is to get people to make wider turns because trailers do not
follow the path of the towing vehicle.
Boat ramp
parking spaces are first come first serve, when they are full the
ramp is closed to parking. There is limited overflow parking at Park
and Fourth Street with some parallel parking on Park Street.
